Covid-19 Resuscitation training

TARGET PUBLIC
• Nurses
• Envisaged postings to intensive care units
• Health reserve participants in critical care

GENERAL AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
• Facilitating nursing staff’s immersion in Covid ICUs.
• Treating respiratory failure in COVID patients.
• Reviewing procedures, developing skills and making maximum numbers of health professionals operational in order to strengthen resuscitation teams in a pandemic context.
The course’s teaching content is evolutive, depending on teams and institutions that request it:
• Alternation of theoretical classes and simulation-based practical work.
• Anaesthetists can organise simulation sessions with their own teams.
The course can be complemented by an optional module on the Ventral Decubitus technique (+½-day).

ORGANISATION
1. Simulation of Peripheral Venous Perfusion and drug delivery.
2. Nursing intensive-care patients
3. Dressing-Undressing
4. Monitoring intensive-care patients
5. Ventilation and bronchoaspiration
6. Analysis of clinical situations

2 days (8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

Group size

• 8 minimum - 12 maximum
4 facilitators (Intensive-care anaesthetist, Nurse Anaesthetist and Registered Nurse)
