DU Endovalvular Surgical Practice
(2022-2023)

TARGET PUBLIC
The following are accepted for enrolment in this course:
• DU in Cardiac Endovalvular Surgical Practice, surgeon or physician option: doctors qualified in surgery or undergoing qualification in surgery in post-internship (whatever their specialisation).
• DU in Cardiac Endovalvular Surgical Practice, non-surgeon option: OTNs and RNs in operating theatres practicing vascular surgery, qualified and employed engineers (Master’s Degree level) and engineering students in their final year (2nd Year Master’s equivalent) wishing to acquire a specialisation in endovascular surgical practice, sales agents, x-ray technicians, physicians and researchers.
• Cardiologists, surgeons, chief residents and their assistants, and French and foreign interns may register with the UFR’s Specialities Department for an authorisation delivered by the Director of Education.

GENERAL AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The University Diploma in Cardiac Endovalvular Surgical Practice aims to provide theoretical and practical training on percutaneous valve delivery. It enables upkeep of training and continuous improvement of skills with regard to treatment of valvular diseases.
This course has two options:
• surgeon option
• non-surgeon option

3 sessions of 2 consecutive days
Course duration
1 year – 100 hours

TEACHING AIDS
Lectures, e-learning classes, practical work, study of clinical cases and operation demonstrations televised live by video transmission with the Nancy Brabois and Henri Mondor UHCs’ Hybrid Rooms.
