DU Experimental Surgery
TARGET PUBLIC
Graduates of a course in animal experimentation, developer level (level I), and practitioners (level II): technicians, researchers (scientists, non-surgical physicians and pharmacists) practicing or wishing to practice experimental surgery on live animals
GENERAL AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
This is a specialised course that aims to enable:
1. Mastery of theory and practice with regard to experimental surgery on models of small and large animals in compliance with Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament, Implementing Decree no. 2013-118 of 1 February 2013 bearing on protection of animals used for scientific purposes.
2. Obtainment of authorisation to perform surgical procedures on live animals in compliance with the regulations currently in force.

TEACHING AIDS
The course is delivered in e-learning for theoretical classes, leaving as much room as possible for practical teaching. It makes use of innovative teaching tools (simulation, 3D video, etc.).
