GENERAL AND EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Identifying an emergency situation
- Analysing the clinical situation: assessing and relieving distress when treating critical situations and vital emergencies: oxygen therapy, unblocking, drainage, cannulation, etc.
- Clinical examination and analysis of vital signs, fibroscopy, etc.
- Knowing the procedures and equipment required for treatment of patients ventilated via tracheotomy tubes.

Working in an interdisciplinary team:
Knowing how to manage an emergency situation in your field of expertise, while understanding the missions of the other professionals on the team and prioritising effective, constructive communication.

ORGANISATION
1/2 day
Context: Multidisciplinary treatment of NM patients ventilated via tracheotomy in the pneumology unit (BPC4) for monitoring / control of ventilation, in intensive respiratory care.

Group size

Replication of a team in real situations, as closely as possible to everyday practice
Per scenario:
• 1 facilitator per discipline in order to meet the requirements of an effective debriefing

• 1 OTN (Operating Theatre Nurse)
